House of CO₂
Envisioning the evolution of modern construction through the lens of carbon-sequestering biogenic materials, the exhibition delves into the ideal configurations for walls and roofs. A collaborative effort with Sweden's largest wood manufacturer has produced a prototype combining CLT wood, hemp, and straw. The exhibition compellingly demonstrates that when these locally sourced, natural, and bio-based materials are seamlessly integrated, the resulting architectural details naturally align with todays sustainability goals.
A pilot project encapsulates this concept, illustrating how contemporary architecture can be enhanced through the application of time-honored craftsmanship and locally sourced, natural materials. By reintroducing nature into our built environments, we foster meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to constructing buildings that endure for generations.
